Juniperus virginiana
5-10€ / 10ml

Virginia cedar (Juniperus virginiana) is actually a juniper, not a true cedar. Native to eastern North America, Native Americans used its aromatic wood to build chests and canoes. Its name comes from the Virginia colony. The wood was traditionally used for pencils -- Faber-Castell used it exclusively for a long time.
Totally different composition from atlas cedar: Virginia contains alpha-cedrene and thujopsene, while Atlas has atlantones and himachalenes. Atlas is more recommended for circulatory and anti-cellulite uses. Virginia is more used in diffusion and as an insect repellent.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
