Citrus paradisi
5-10€ / 10ml

Grapefruit (Citrus paradisi) is a natural hybrid between pomelo and orange, discovered in Barbados in the 18th century. Its essential oil is obtained by cold pressing of the peel. The fresh, tangy scent of grapefruit is immediately recognizable and associated with vitality.
Grapefruit contains nootkatone, a molecule responsible for its characteristic scent and studied for its lipolytic properties (helps 'break down' fat). This is why it is very present in slimming treatments in aromatherapy. Like all pressed citrus peels, it is photosensitizing.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
