Cedrus deodara
5-12€ / 10ml

Himalayan cedar, or deodar, is India's sacred tree. Its Sanskrit name 'devadaru' means 'wood of the gods'. In Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries, deodar wood has been used for millennia for construction and ritual fumigations. It is a majestic tree that can reach 60 meters in the forests of Kashmir, Nepal and Bhutan, between 1500 and 3200 meters altitude.
Himalayan cedar differs from atlas cedar by its richness in himachalol and himachalenes, sesquiterpenes specific to Asian Cedrus. Its lipolytic action (fat breakdown) is comparable to atlas cedar, but with a warmer and softer, less dry olfactory note. It is an excellent lymphotonic, used for edema and water retention.
