Citrus junos

Yuzu is native to central China but it is in Japan that it became an essential cultural ingredient. The yuzu bath (yuzuyu) on the winter solstice is a centuries-old tradition -- the fruits are plunged into hot water to protect against colds. In Japanese gastronomy, the zest enhances the most refined dishes. Japan remains the world's leading producer, mainly in the Kochi and Tokushima regions.
Incomparable olfactory profile: at once floral, herbaceous and fruity, more complex than a simple lemon. Contains yuzunone, an exclusive molecule that gives a green and umami note impossible to reproduce synthetically. Therapeutically, same calming properties as citrus but with an olfactory depth that approaches florals.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.

Yuzu (Citrus junos) is a Japanese citrus whose essential oil has a unique scent -- a blend of grapefruit, mandarin and lime. Very popular in Japan for baths (yuzu-buro). Rich in limonene with rare aromatic compounds that give it its unique signature.
Japanese studies show that inhaling yuzu reduces stress, anxiety and sympathetic nervous system activity more effectively than lavender in some participants. Its scent is instantly uplifting and energizing.
Yes, it is a premium citrus essential oil (20-40 EUR/10ml), much more expensive than lemon or orange. Production is mainly Japanese and Korean. Its unique olfactory profile justifies the price for diffusion and fine cuisine.
