Abies grandis
8-18€ / 10ml

Noble fir, Abies grandis, magnificently bears its Latin name: 'grandis', the great, the noble. This majestic tree of the American Northwest can reach 75 meters, making it one of the world's largest conifers. Pacific Coast indigenous peoples -- Salish, Nez Perces, Chinook -- revered this giant tree and used its resin and needles in multiple ways. French trappers of the 18th century adopted its uses and nicknamed it 'noble fir' for its stately bearing.
Noble fir is distinguished from other aromatherapy firs (balsam, white, Siberian) by a softer, fresher and more citrusy scent, less resinous and less heavy. This lightness makes it the most pleasant fir for extended diffusion. Its composition in beta-pinene and limonene gives it a gentle respiratory antiseptic profile suited to the whole family.
