Osmanthus fragrans
45-80€ / 10ml

Osmanthus, called 'gui hua' in China, is one of the most revered flowers in East Asia. For over two millennia, its tiny golden flowers have perfumed imperial gardens and Buddhist temples. Under the Tang Dynasty, osmanthus symbolized success in imperial examinations: laureates received flowering branches as a sign of honor. Its fruity scent, at once apricot-like and suave, makes it one of the most sought-after ingredients in haute perfumery. It takes approximately 7000 kg of fresh flowers to obtain a single kilogram of absolute.
What makes osmanthus unique is its unclassifiable olfactory profile: halfway between ripe peach, fine leather and jasmine. Unlike ylang-ylang or jasmine, its scent is fruity before being floral. Its richness in ionone and gamma-decalactone gives it apricot and creamy facets found nowhere else. In aromatherapy, it offers deep, almost meditative soothing without the narcotic heaviness of tuberose.

Diluer dans une huile végétale avant application. Respecter les dosages recommandés selon la zone et le public.
