Myristica fragrans
6-12€ / 10ml

Nutmeg is native to the Banda Islands (Moluccas, Indonesia). Like clove, it caused colonial wars. The Dutch massacred the population of the Banda Islands in the 17th century to monopolize the nutmeg trade. In aromatherapy, nutmeg essential oil is a powerful tonic and analgesic but NEUROTOXIC at high doses.
Nutmeg contains myristicin, a psychoactive molecule that can cause hallucinations and convulsive seizures at high doses. This is why the essential oil is strictly dosed and reserved for adults in very short courses.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
