Eucalyptus dives
5-12€ / 10ml

Peppermint eucalyptus, or Eucalyptus dives, is the most powerful and dangerous member of the eucalyptus family. Native to southeastern Australian forests, this robust tree can reach 30 meters. Aborigines knew its exceptional mucolytic properties and used it with great caution. Its name 'dives' means 'rich' in Latin, referring to the density of its essential oil-secreting glands.
Peppermint eucalyptus must absolutely be differentiated from other eucalyptus species. Where radiata and globulus mainly contain 1,8-cineole (a well-tolerated oxide), Eucalyptus dives is dominated by piperitone, a neurotoxic and abortifacient monoterpene ketone. This distinction is not an academic detail but a vital safety issue.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
