Picea pungens
10-20€ / 10ml

Blue spruce (Picea pungens) is native to the Rocky Mountains, between 1800 and 3000 meters in Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Its name comes from the bluish color of its needles, due to a protective wax layer. Ute and Navajo Native Americans used its resin to treat wounds and burned its needles to purify the air. A majestic tree that can reach 25 meters and live 600 years.
More balanced and gentle than black spruce (which is more stimulating). Contains beta-pinene, alpha-pinene and bornyl acetate in less pungent proportions. Fresh, woody and slightly mentholated scent -- more refined. Less stimulating on the adrenals, more suited to relaxation.
