Callitris intratropica
15-30€ / 10ml

Australian blue cypress is a tree endemic to northern Australia, where Aborigines have used it for millennia to treat skin inflammation, insect bites and joint pain. It is one of the most recent essential oils in the Western aromatic pharmacopoeia, discovered by aromatherapists in the 1990s. Its most striking feature is its intense blue color, due to guaiazulene, an anti-inflammatory compound that forms during distillation.
Blue cypress stands out for its remarkable blue color and its powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic profile, comparable to blue tansy and German chamomile (which also owe their blue color to chamazulene or guaiazulene). Unlike evergreen cypress (venous decongestant), blue cypress is oriented toward anti-allergy and skin anti-inflammation.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
