Coriandrum sativum
6-12€ / 10ml

Coriander is one of the oldest known spices -- seeds have been found in the tomb of Tutankhamun. The word 'coriander' comes from the Greek 'koris' (bug) because the fresh leaves have an odor some compare to bugs. The essential oil is distilled from the seeds (not the leaves) and has a completely different scent: sweet, spicy and woody.
Coriander seed essential oil is rich in linalool (60-80%), which brings it close to Ho wood and lavender. It is a gentle antibacterial and an excellent digestive. At high doses, it can be stupefying (mild narcotic effect).
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
