Eucalyptus staigeriana
6-14€ / 10ml

Eucalyptus staigeriana is the joyful black sheep of the eucalyptus family -- or rather its poet. Where its radiata and globulus cousins smell like 'throat medicine', staigeriana exhales a lemony, sweet and luminous scent. Discovered in 19th century tropical Queensland, this atypical eucalyptus was long ignored. Brazil rediscovered it in the 1980s for the fragrance industry. Brazilian aromatherapists first documented its anti-inflammatory and calming properties.
Eucalyptus staigeriana differs radically from all other eucalyptus species by its chemical composition dominated by citral, an aldehyde usually found in citronella or litsea but never in a classic eucalyptus. This makes it a calming and anti-inflammatory eucalyptus rather than an expectorant and stimulant one. It is the eucalyptus recommended for stressed, anxious or depressed people.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.

Eucalyptus staigeriana is one of the most pleasant and safest eucalyptus to use. In diffusion, it brings luminous citrusy freshness suited to all seasons. Topically, dilute to 3-5% due to citral (potentially irritating for sensitive skin). It combines wonderfully with citrus, florals and other eucalyptus to soften synergies. It is the summer eucalyptus, for emotional well-being and optimism. Ideal for people who dislike the 'medical' scent of classic eucalyptus.
A unique eucalyptus that smells like lemon and lavender rather than camphor. Rich in citrals (like lemon verbena) and limonene. More calming and anti-inflammatory than respiratory. An original eucalyptus.
Yes, its citral and limonene profile gives it calming and mood-enhancing properties unusual for a eucalyptus. In diffusion, its lemon-lavender scent is pleasant and relaxing. A nice alternative to citrus oils.
Well tolerated. Citrals can be irritating on the skin at high concentrations -- dilute to 2-5% maximum. Standard precautions. In diffusion, very safe and pleasant.
