Citrus aurantifolia
5-10€ / 10ml

Lime (Citrus aurantifolia) is a small tropical citrus native to Southeast Asia. It is the essential ingredient of caipirinha, mojito and key lime pie. Not to be confused with distilled lime (less photosensitizing). The essence is obtained by cold pressing of the peel, like other citrus.
Lime is more acidic and more bitter than lemon. It contains furocoumarins (bergaptene), making it very photosensitizing. In diffusion, its fresh and tangy scent is energizing. Therapeutically similar to lemon but with a more tropical personality.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
