Angelica archangelica
20-50€ / 10ml

Angelica (Angelica archangelica) owes its name to the legend that the archangel Raphael revealed its medicinal properties to a monk to fight the plague. In the Middle Ages, it was the 'root of the Holy Spirit', a universal remedy. Chartreuse liqueur and Angostura gin contain angelica. The essential oil is distilled from roots and seeds.
Angelica contains furocoumarins (photosensitizing) and molecules that calm the nervous system. It is the essential oil for deep anxiety and severe insomnia, when lavender is not enough. Its high price and photosensitization limit its use.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
