Achillea millefolium
15-30€ / 10ml

Yarrow owes its name to Achilles, the hero of the Trojan War, who reportedly used it to heal the wounds of his soldiers. Its nickname 'milfoil' comes from its finely divided leaves. Yarrow has been found in Neanderthal archaeological sites, making it one of the oldest known medicinal plants in human history. The essential oil is blue (chamazulene) like German chamomile.
Yarrow contains chamazulene (anti-inflammatory) AND camphor (neurotoxic). This dual profile makes it both powerful and delicate to use. It is an anti-inflammatory and healing essential oil, but prohibited in pregnant women and epileptics because of the camphor.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
