Rosmarinus officinalis ct. camphre
5-10€ / 10ml

Rosemary camphor (ct. borneone) is the rosemary of the Spanish plains -- it grows in full sun in the dry, hot garrigues. Extreme heat conditions direct its biochemistry toward the production of camphor (borneone), a neurotoxic molecule that gives it powerful muscle-decontracting properties. Historically, Spanish and Portuguese athletes used rosemary rubs to prepare muscles before exercise and accelerate post-exercise recovery.
Rosemary camphor is the ONLY one of the three rosemaries with significant muscle-decontracting action. Camphor acts on muscle fibers and nerve endings to release contractures. It is the essential oil for athletes and people suffering from chronic contractures. But camphor is also NEUROTOXIC -- which is why this essential oil is prohibited in pregnant women, children under 6 years and epileptics.
Les propriétés listées reposent sur des études in vitro et/ou un usage traditionnel. Sauf mention contraire, elles n'ont pas été validées par des essais cliniques humains rigoureux. Ces informations ne constituent pas un avis médical.
